About me
What I care about in coaching

I don't care about your "mistakes" or your self-judgement. I don't care if you disappointed somebody or yourself. I care if you are ready to reconnect with the often quiet little voice that tells you which internal or external step to take next.

It doesn't matter to me where you come from, what school you went to or whether you have any qualifications. I want to know if you are now ready to take on the challenges, accept yourself and go in the direction that lights you up.

I don't care what others think or assume about you. I want to discover with you what fulfills you at your core when everything else falls away.

How did I get into coaching?

There I was observing myself teaching this class and wondering: What the hell am I doing here? What does this life have to do with me?

The "me" I was thinking about was my innermost truth, my yearnings, preferences and values. Some of which I had neglected in my professional life for years, like for instance, veracity.
My authentic self was not the typical teacher, disciplining and creating order in the classroom. I spent so much time bending myself, trying to be somebody different. I just had to act a certain way in the classroom because otherwise it was impossible to go through with the content of the lessons. And if I didn't get that done, some pupils or parents would complain to me. After several years of trying to be myself and then trying not to be myself in the classroom, I realized that I just don't fit in here.
By this point in my life, I was used to force myself out of bed in the morning, to get my child into daycare on time, to be in the classroom at 7.45 h, being completely stressed out and sooo tired.

I pretended to be fine in front of my pupils.
But the truth is that I hadn't slept well for months, I had various aches and pains, mood swings and so on. And I felt constantly overwhelmed by the life I had created for myself consciously - or so I thought.

After all, hadn't I chosen to become a teacher?
Yes, but everything in me revolted against one more day of pretending to be somebody I was not.
I decided to quit a job with a very good income and 14 weeks of holiday per year.

Ever since I feel free and excited again. I have energy to look after my daughter and do sports and be creative.
The sense of adventure that had gone missing for quite a while came back instantly.

Of course, I am still figuring out my life, like anyone of us. But I have a better sense of where to go and what to do, so that I feel like it's my life that I'm living.

What is my background?
Born in 1990 and raised in Dresden, Germany, my life path initially took me to various European countries as I studied French and Spanish to become a teacher. I was lucky enough to study one semester on the French overseas island of La Réunion and one semester in Spain. Later I lived in France, Belgium and Italy for several months. Finally, I came to French-speaking Switzerland by chance, where I developed a spontaneous sense of belonging and home.
Switzerland has been my home of choice since 2017. After seven years of teaching at various secondary schools, I was never really able to make peace with the school system. For many years, I have been interested in psychology, spirituality and the biology behind happiness. I tried to integrate the knowledge I gained into my French lessons in Swiss schools through the "school subject happiness", which I completed at the Fritz Schubert Institute for Personal Development, and yoga courses, which I offered to my students after school. I could provide a little insight into wellbeing for my pupils. However, as pressure to perform and exam anxiety still make up everyday school life in our education system, I decided to embark on a new professional path. The deep conversations and connection that come with "Wayfinder Life Coaching" according to Martha Beck fulfill me deeply. It enriches my life immensely to bring out the best in people.

I live with my four-year-old daughter and my partner in the middle of the Swiss Alps in between two lakes. That's where I need to be, surrounded by nature. When I'm not working, I'm roaming the lush forests, I love to explore all the beautiful hiking trails. I like also listening to audio books, reading, writing and watching a nice movie. As most people, I love interesting stories that tell me more about how we handle this short passage on this blue ball in space.

I cannot stand leaf blowers, sport aircrafts, lawn mowers. And I love fire places, cinnamon rolls, rainy and sunny weather, the smell of a new book, dancing to my favorite music and cuddling with my loved ones. What annoys me most about myself is my impatience when I realise what needs to come next.

Eternal curiosity
I never cease to be amazed by the human psyche and all the challenges and obstacles we can overcome by questionning our beliefs, reading our bodies and exchange with others. I love to coach and I am an eternally curious person who reads and perpetually absorbs information about mental and physical health, the nervous system, spirituality, and psychology.
What characterizes me as a life coach?
As your life coach, I am a neutral companion who approaches you with appreciation and honesty.
In addition to the typical approach of calming the mind and therefore calming the body (top down approach), I see if coaching needs to be done the other way round: we calm the body/nervous system first and therefore the mind. This makes my coaching very effective because, in case of immense stress or anxiety, I adresss the more ancient parts of your nervous system before we switch to working with younger parts of your brain which responds to language based coaching. Like a gardener who digs up the garden to plant some new and beautiful flower, you will learn to dig up the roots of weeds that cause you distress and anxiety. From this new state of relaxation, inherent qualities like curiosity and creativity can blossom and fill your life with new beauty.
My goal is to help you achieve a better quality of life. I will help you cope with difficult changes with ease and develop your dreams and visions, to achieve your life goals.
I am at your side to manage your life with more lightness and confidence regardless of the puzzles that life throws at you. I will help you find the piece of the puzzle you need. Through coaching, I have learned myself that it is crucial from which perspective we look at things and how we deal with them, because we cannot control what happens to us, but how we can react to it.
Why am I a life coach?
Several life storms such as break-ups due to no clue how a happy relationship can actually come to be, burnout and family trauma led me to find my way to coaching. During this time, I tried different methods to find answers, process things and recharge my batteries. After my first coaching session as a client, I felt refreshed and full of energy, as if I could achieve anything. Suddenly many things seemed natural and simple, as if I had found a guide for life. The coaching strengthened me personally, changed my perspective in a positive way and convinced me so much that I decided to become a coach myself and learn it from scratch from one of the most renowned sources.
In my daily life as a teacher, I also saw how many things that are essential for a happy life are not taught and learned in school. So I said to myself: if I know how to do this, then I want to pass it on to others. I know from my own experience that time and energy can be wasted in the search for a better life, but that doesn't mean you have to follow the same path. My goal is to save you years of detours. I want to help you get manage the ever recurring change of life and enjoy your life to the fullest. My passion has always been language and communication. I firmly believe that help is possible for those who open up and talk and through powerful questions from a safe and neutral person. Because no one is alone in this world and has to cope with everything on their own.
